Ok So I've been reading the forums A LOT, so let's just assume that I have tried all the regular fixes. Perhaps this is an issue people know more info about because it's common, or perhaps it's something localized to my PC.
I've had the game for only about a month now (but I've played SH games since SH3 game out), and the game worked great up until LAST NIGHT. Everything about it was perfect, ran smooth, no hiccups...nothing (yes I do have mods installed, list will be provided at bottom). Then all of a sudden I finish attacking a ship and the frame rate just BAM...flatlines at 35-40 and refuses to budge. I hadda drive the ship all they way back to port to see if it was an issue with the mission specifically, but nope...even rendering back at port is completely bogged down by low frame rate. It seems to have sprung out of no where. I've attacked huge convoys of 6+ ships, sailed into the London port, and sunk 2 battleships at Scapa Flow....all of which required more rendering than whatever I was doing when the frame rates dropped. Now I can't even start a new campaign without the frame rates being excessively slow. **AGAIN** I've played this game for a month with absolutely no issues at all. This seems to have just happened at random. Anyone have any clues? Here are all my system info, for those who can help: Windows 7 64bit nVidia 1GB video card (570) i5 8 GB memory Mods Installed: Dyanmic Environment V2.1 Dyanmic Environment Basemod Reworked Morale and Abilities v 1.01 TDW Add-on-mods v 1.0.0 More crew commands v 1.04 MagnumOpus v 0.0.1 Radio Paris v 1.2 Improved Waves / Improved Pitch&Roll IRAI By DarkWraith v 0.0.37 FX Update 0.0.19 EngineSoundsImproved v 1.0 MightyFine Crew mod NewUIs TDC by DarkWraith v 6.9.0 NewUIs New Radio Messages TDW_ No Aircraft Spotting at Depth Thanks in advance if anyone has any suggestions.... |

Quick update:
After restarting the machine in safe mode and removing the "no lag" mod fix, things seemed to go back to work. I also noticed that my other games were affected as well, so it might be a card issue. I'd still like to know though if anyone has any information on these kinds of issues... |

Strange issue, but since your rig is almost identical to mine, it certainly got my attention!
![]() Looks to me like it was a hardware issue that, thankfully, went away.
