Question/ Multiple Flak Guns

Kaleuns,
I'm working with two flak guns on board. I'm trying to find out if my Officer Commands from the pics on the bottom of my screen work as they did in SH3(using TDW's UI w' the SH5 style HUD) .
I tried to order a deck gun attack on my last patrol using the orders bar from the Officers Pics and I got no reaction from the Deck gun crew until I used my Binocs and the Space bar. I hope I'm making this clear. If I get attacked (IF) by air, I want the two guns to fire at independent targets and not both firing at one Plane whilst the other sinks by boat. So if I use the firing orders from the Officer pics, do they work?

Even so, how do I give independent orders to each gun?
