Default question on torpedos

Hey guys just got SH5 and am still working on the first mission, with all of the suggested mods installed, currently using the auto tdc with lock and unlock method and its working well for me. I have a question is it possible to shoot a torpedo at say 50m deep at a ship and how would you do it ? Im looking for a guide either video or written. Thanks BTW for the great mods you guys provide this game rocks now.

I think the torpedo doors would need to remain closed at that depth. Not sure if it's modeled in the game but I believe the doors help with water pressure.

WWII uboats could not fire torpedoes that deep until late in the war. The Type XXI could fire deeper. I forget the actual depth limitations.

Yes, if you try and even open the doors, you'll get a message from a crewman saying "we're too deep"...
