I am using GWX 3 and was wondering if there is a way to cut down on the radio messages?

Yes; I am not at my computer now so I can't direct you.
Also there are some radio mods in the download section you should check out.

Check out h.sie patch at this forum sticky.
It makes marvelous things with SH3 inclunding "anticut" your TC back to 1 after message comes in. You can always review messages later or ignore them.
