Autosaveenteringbase1/2

As far as I know each time you finish a patrol and dock you get in your saved folder "autosave enerting base 1 and when you depart 2" now i have a question here? I have read somewhere this game learns from what you do! I have played over 9 campaigns now over different levels and its either it deja vu or recurring situation. I would die close to the day I died in reacuring mision in next careers.Now Lately I changed the auto save with what was most implanted in my mind from the previous misson and am seem to have got further in my career now.
So does this game learn or is it just to the level you play and thats it?
