Where are these guys going?

This it Stock 1.5
It's about Mid December 1941.Heading back to Java after a very lackluster Patrol.Slogging along( I think I was litterally the LAST Boat out of Manilia) I submerge to do a quick Hydro sweep.Suddenly,a hit MASSIVE Sound contacts.I determined they were heading straight at me,so I stayed at periscope and waited.suddleny I check when the contacts are about 5000 yards away.
2 Hiryus
1 Shokaku
5 Escort Carriers
4 Heavy Cruisers
6 Escorts.
Heres a Screen of the location.only thing I can think of is a Borneo landing, but with THAT Many Carriers?!

Sadly, was only able to get a Shot off on 1 of the Hiryus. (Darn)
When I happened to roll over the time while admiring my work when I see the date...

MERRY ********** CHRISTMAS JAPS!

Stock is not very historical at all, they also tend to morph more Japanese Battle Fleets than the Japanese actually had. Some times you can't swing a dead cat by the tail without hitting a Japanese Task Force, and they pop up pretty much anywhere for no rhyme or reason.

Where you're positioned there on the screen shot you posted is a great place in stock to catch a Task Force 'almost' every patrol. A little closer to the northern entrance of the straight even better.

At this point in the war (mid-December 1941) the Hiryu and Soryu were thousands of miles to the east pounding on Wake island prepatory to the second Japanese landing there. The Shokakus were likely refitting in japan after the Pearl Harbor operation.

So, yeah pretty inaccurate.

I could accept IJN ships being in different locations as a sort of dynamic ahistorical campaign, but if there are too many ships, just spawning left and right, that is, imo, a fatal flaw.
