Default Hello guys. How is sh5 doing these days?

Of course, I mean a fully modded up game.

Does it surpass SH4?

I have done some small mod work on sh3 in the past but when sh5 originally came out I was so disgusted that I shot the cd with a revolver. I didnt think anything could be done to rescue it. But then I felt terrible, knowing that this modding community is by far the best and the brightest of any gaming community. So... has it improved enough to buy it for 5 bucks?

I would have to agree. A little more work to do on it and no other subsim currently or in the past will even come close to it

You forgot:

CO2 bug fix - check
Sub hull taking damage from DCs - check

working on making the AI gunners much more accurate. Hopefully will have patch for that soon.

I think - yes. With all mods I think this game is worth more than 5 bucks now. Definitely much more

So true... with all credit to all the wonderful modders, Silent Hunter 5 is now a great game to play. You can have total realism, or any variant of that you would like. The hard core guys might laugh... but with the proper adjustments to TDW's IRAI, I can have the "gaming" experience of WWII Uboat combat - just with a slightly increased probability of survival!

The answer to your question is a resounding "YES" - thanks to all the modders!

No not at all. Despite the work of all the great modders here at subsim, SH5 is still not worth the price of a pack of cigarettes, a drink in a bar, or half a movie ticket.

What a joke. SH5 has been better than SH4 and SH3 (GWX) for a while now. TDW's UI upgrade and Trevally's Open Horizons campaign make the game the best in series IMHO.

We do not insult other members here at Subsim. Radcapricorn insulted the mod he didn't like. That is his privilege. Namecalling is not allowed here. This is an official warning.
