Problem I can't figure out

Everything is fine until, in 1943, I',m involuntarily transfered to Brisbane for my home base. I can go out OK, but when I try to return to Brisbane with all objectives complete, I can only refit or postpone. I did a refit and went back to combat twice--same result. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but when I get to this point--same problem. I can't end at Pearl Harbor at this point either, since Brisbane is my home port. Any way to fix this? Sometimes the message telling you which port is home port is incorrect for some period. Is Brisbane the port with the angled anchor with the chain around it, as opposed to the vertical anchor without a chain?

I just went back in and looked, MKalafatas, and none of the anchors have a tilt and chain. The map shows I have no home port.

Are you playing stock, if so, what version. Seems to me you should never
get transferred to Brinsbane unless you opt for it. Where was your base before Brisbane? Still, I've never heard of a bug even in stock where you didn't have a home base somewhere, cept maybe a few days as the enemy takes ports.

I haven't put any mods on my SH 4 yet. My home port before I was transfered was Pearl Harbor. On the back of the box it says Direct X 9 version for windows. I'm using a computer with windows 7. Hope this helps. I was going to ask the "pros" at Ubisoft support for help, but they want $38 before they'll answer any questions. If I can't get a home port, This is as far as I can ever go in this game. Hope someone can help me get this straightened out. mike
