I'm currently designing a mission, with a similar story like in the movie/novel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_Station_Zebra, which is still one of my favorites movies
![]() I've managed to create an ice station by building new objects and using ships as the platform but having the graphical 3D model of barracks, tents, antennas and so on. So now the stuff 'floats' on the drift ice. I'm struggling a little with the gameplay. The basic idea is to have a dynamic mission, where the ice station is located every time on another place and the player has to locate the SOS signal by using his ESM mast. This also seems to work fine...but only to have this (and navigating through the shallow arctic sea) would result in a rather dull gameplay experience. I'm thinking of bringing soviet subs into play and to create a challence by hiding the ROE(set it randomly). Would appreciate any ideas/feedback. |
