A giant periscope?

Can someone tell me WTF is this?

I have never seen something like this before so I have no clue what is it.

Many of us have come aross it, some wierd unfinished land sphere near Truk, I call it the beanstalk. Once a few jap planes attacking me hit it as I was beside it...

I found it around Truk indeed. It appears in the nav map but only if you zoom it all the way. I almost ran into that thing.

I'm back on SH4 at the moment, I must have a sniff around Truk and see this thing for myself.

Yea, I think I first found it by running into it and you're right you only see the lil land dot at full zoom, seems it's a lil to the NE of Truk as I recall.

That marks the site where Chuck Norris encountered a japanese task force as he was doing his backstrokes across the pacific. It is said that if you dive to the bottom of the sea, and listen on the hydrophone, you can hear the screams of thousands of IJN sailors.
