Hi y'all,
I started playing SH4 again a couple of months ago and opted for the TMO supermod, which I really liked - but I had problems with going back into the game after saves, the boats engine would sometimes sound odd and wrong, and, worst of all, I sometimes found that daytime had become night-time after a save, which was especially annoying when I was getting ready for an attack - so I came out of TMO and opted for RSRDC instead. I don't get any problems with this mod, which is lovely, but ( ... you knew there was going to be a 'but' didn't you) it seems a bit too easy and rather hum-drum. I am now in my fourth patrol (1942) and each time I am sent back to roughly the same place - which is fine, but which is rather quiet, so when I get fed up cruising up and down my allotted area I go snooping about near ports to catch the incoming or outgoing traffic there. I do quite well, but it is almost too easy as the merchants are single and seldom escorted, and I can just pick them off. For me the fun of the game is more about avoiding the escorts than sinking ships and as yet I haven't had any serious engagements, nor have I found myself near enough to any convoys to get involved there, since I have to watch the fuel - so I am getting a bit bored with the same routine. If I decide to give TMO another try, I assume I would have to start the whole career again. ![]() However, if I try this utility I saw mention of somewhere which allows you to run more than one modded copy of the game ( can't recall the name but I guess it will be in the Mod section somewhere) will I be able to continue with my current career and create a new career for TMO?? Just wanted to ask before I give it a go ![]() |
