In the mission editor ideally or lazily with nopepad
All depends on what type of traffic you mean as to which of the campaign layers is on SCRipted or RaNDom If you can be a lil more specific will be able to help more |

I'm a bit ashamed of my ignorance here, i have a little modding knowledge in sh3 but i am not sure about difference between scripted and random traffic.
But let me explain, for exampla i want to build a single scenraio in mission editor. Ok. And i want traffic in this scenario other than the ships i manually added. I want certain types of ships to either ally or to axis side. What should i do? I think this means random generated traffic, what you mean? |

Ah right so its a single mission you want ?
Ok the SCR or scripted layer is used for when you need a certain ship or ships to follow an exact preset path ( same as in a single mission ) historical scripting is done on the scr - Op Cerburus etc Random layer is exactly that - you create a group of units ( or individual ) and set a path from A to B. That path can have a wide radius around each waypoint so the path is never identical twice over, Also units do not have to be named on the rnd so the game can pick any it likes using the parameters you set Sounds difficult but simple Anyway i guess what you want to do is create a single mission but have extra traffic appear which you dont add ? That right ? If so - when you play a single mission the normal campaign layers are also in play so if your mission is set in the channel then all the traffic thats due to be in the channel will show in your mission without you needing to add it. |

Ah so a single mission it is then
There was a tutorial posted here the other day somewhere for the mission editor You will need to use that to make your mission No single list for ships appearing in the campaign Campaign files are stored in SilentHunterIII\data\Campaigns\Campaign Actual ship models themselves are in SilentHunterIII\data\Sea Each ship model has a corresponding cfg which goes into the roster folder of any nation using that ship - SilentHunterIII\data\Roster To see what ships a nation has just look in the roster folder When using mission editor thats all in there for you anyway Will try find that tutorial |
