Default Cant get this game to work.

I just bought this game on Steam and it just wont start.

I tried to download SH3_XPSP2_Res_Fix_for_1.4b some kind of resoloution fix but that dont seem to work either.

Just starts for a millisecond some black box that dissapears instantly

I treid to verify the game cache but no that dont work.

Any ideas?

Play on a 32 Inch Flatscreen using 1360x768 Resoloution " I tried to start it on default reseloution but that dont work either.

Im on a laptop using Windows 7

Packard Bell
Intel COre Duo processor p8700
Nvidia Geforce Gtx 260 M
8 gb Memory ram

Regards

Be sure you did not install it in c:/Program Files.

Win7 protects this directory as its own playground and doesn't like it if you try to install anything there. (does not play well with others)

Install SH3 in c:/Program Files (X86)

Also see the sticky thread on Win7.

Not sure how steam, sh3, and win7 Play together, I'd check the steam forums too to see if there's a fix there. But I'd peel off all mods and try to get naked stock to run.

I use Steam so i cant install it to any other directory. And it does not help that im a total noob with computer issues.

Im not sure what to do.

If anyone who knows about these issues whould like to provide me with assistance and add me on Steam that whould be great. Please say so if you can.

You may not be able to change the INSTALL directory, but you can certainly move the installed programit to the directory of choice.

Another reason why I'd never buy from Steam; I always want the disc in my hand.
