Default Mod Question

I've started watching Frontier's "Let's Play Silent Hunter 3" (110 video series) on youtube. I've been reading through the GWX 3.0 manual and don't see the attack scope overlay piece as shown in his videos... It has moving concentric rings that form a sliding scale to take measurements for manual targeting.

Questions:
1. What mod is that?
2. Is that tool historically accurate?

2: Yep, though maybe not on all boats. And the wheels are a simplified functional re-creation of the real thing, so not exact. It would need SH4's split image periscope functionality, and also being able to rotate it on it's side for AOB measurement, to be fully functionally correct. The wheels as you see in the mod (but OLC's Gui mod, Joegrundman's Ujagd mod used it also) are the best way to replicate the functionality.

Warning, it's in german. But there should be more and better images in threads with questions just like yours to show the real thing:

I just wanted to remind everyone that Joegrundman created it for U-Jagd. Every mod since copied his work.

That Manos mod looks really awesome! I've never used any mods... I really want to though.

I didn't see that mod on his list though: http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/9...order11411.jpg

Might be that OLC... seems to be on the list.
