Default What does this say???????

When people text message now days, they use shortcuts when it comes to spelling out words (we know it takes forever to type out a word, lol)

But anyway I look at this headline, I still don't understand it. Its been like this for 2 days now!

What does it say?????

Well I surmise form the article that the headline should have said:India upset over Iran oil sanctions.

I wonder if they meant to use a different tittle and they some how got short hand mixed up in the editing process.

"Written communication that was sent has been tightly guarded.
The letters were being sent like those in the British Raj," another government official said."

Then only very old british colonial code breakers will be able to read it ..

"Properly sealed with melted wax and in double envelopes as this is a very sensitive issue. Marked as 'To be opened by addressee only."

I am sure then the Iran will not open it, if they happen to get their fingers on it

Or it is encoded with an Enigma

Since its Reuters, I'd assume it's a format from the old telex days that thu still use on occasion. Some shorthand notation.

For a lark, I pasted the string of 'text' into Google search and came up with a surprising number of hits and an equally suprising revelation that some news outlets posted the article title verbatim on their sites. Has there possibly been a release of LSD into the water supply or is this a manifestation of the further evolution of this:

It looks like the internal routing header made it out in the story.

If I had to guess, it is something like this:

OLRTXT = Online reuters text - shows how it got to the editors desk.

Plcy = policy (maybe) - general category

JP IR IN US CN = The nations involved in the story.

Asia News = Which news desk is to receive the text (again, maybe)

DIP TRD Prod Cru= (something) India Petroleum to reduce production of crude

That's my interpretation, at least.
