Promotion Points

How does Promotion Points work in game, I thought I got points every time I sunk a ship. On my patrol I sunk 3 ships but only got 1 Promotion Point.

Does a certain mod effect the promotion points given to a player?

I am using majority of mods listed in sobers mega mod, give or a take some. Pretty much what ever one else is using.

Would it of been in the No magic skills v1.5 MCCD compatible?

One promotion point is received for completing the patrol objective. The rest are calculated based off your tonnage when you return from patrol. You receive one morale point for each ship sunk.
