Question on Medals

I ended my Patrol (January 1944) and had a bunch of Silver & Bronze Stars to hand out. I handed out all the Silver Stars, but the game won’t let me hand out any Bronze Stars. The medals won’t move over to any of the crew and none of the crew light up indicating they should receive a medal. What gives? Anybody run into this before?

I'd hang onto them. They should accrue and you can hand them out on the next RTB. Hey, you could always melt them down and have your favorite Machinist's Mate fashion a new set of bars for that next promotion you'll be getting.
