Downloadable Games from Amazon

Has anyone downloaded games from Amazon? Is the download a disk image and is it anything like Steam? I'm considering buying the HoI3 Collection from there as a download, but if it's anything like Steam I'd probably rather have a disk set.

Please advise.

I have no experience, but it's probably more like D2D where you have your intall file on your computer.

You should get it from GamersGate. There you can definitely download the installation(s) and back it up wherever you want.

I downloaded sonic generations for my daughter and it was the steam version.
