Help with GWX3 MOD

I purchased my SH3 through Steam. I am trying to install the GWX3 mod by The Grey Wolves.

This is the first mod I have tried to install, but during installation it aborts and states that it must be installed over a "clean" version of SH3 and that it has found "mods" in the SH3 folder.

Has anyone encountered this problem? My OS is Win7 and the SH3 runs fine "as is."

Check the win 7 thread ( that is getting old) for nev weary steps to use sh3 on win7. As for steam though, it places sh3 in a folder different than where gwx looks for it. Just point the gwx installer towards the right folder and it should be fine.

I didn't even think of that, but of course you're correct. I'm off for a try.

Haven't seen that moniker since my daughter watched the smurfs in the '90's. LOL.

Good luck with GWX. be careful of installing mods some may cause a CTD. Some mods have to be installed in the right order and some won't work with other mods
