Default new to the silent hunter series

ok im a bit new to being a skipper here but so far after tryin in out i love it

but i do have a curiosity about the target ships that stumps me. i cant consult a manual as i got this game 2nd hand from a friend who apparently hated the game.

his loss my gain

my question is this: when i have a ship locked i see 2 bars above the target. a white and blue 1

what do these things mean?

Hello Lojak

I never play with that option, but I think the blue one is the flooding level at the ship, and the white one is the general damage of the ship. So two full bars means that the ship is in perfect state and undamaged.

Welcome aboard

Yeah indeed, the blue one is the flooding and the white one is damage
when the entire white bar is gone, the ship is gonna sink.

Welcome aboard Lojak,
I love it when I see new players not only to SH5 but to the series itself.
All I can say is I hope you enjoy the sim as much as the rest of us here and that this is one of the best online communitys you could find anywhere.
If you need any help at all speak up. All of the modders and players almost always love to help. A great bunch of skippers.
Good Hunting Herr Kaleun.

Default hi

Welcome aboard. as others have allready said

white=integrity

blue=flooding

Sh5 in my opinion is a ok place for new people to start because those who have played earlier ones might be disapointed of the new one because it doesn't have the easy commands of earlier ones.
any ways have fun and remember if you need help send me a message or email at any time i'll try to answer your questions but i'm not the best player or even close to it. here at subsim there are tons of great players who are willing to help.

A new Kaleun!

Welcome, Lojak!

It's great to see a new skipper join up. Heaven knows our particular niche of the sim industry isn't the most well-served out there, so it's always great to see somebody other than us old grizzly grognards join the fun!

Guter Jagd und, "steck sie rein!"
