Default Radio cannot be turned off...

I am in early August 1945 and when I try to reload the game from a save game file the Radio is already turned on and cannot be switched off nor can the channel be changed. Loading an earlier safe game would fix it but once saving and reloading the game after first of August the same thing happens. Anybody has an idea how to fix that? The war should be over any day but still, it would be nice to be able to listen to the news, especially the 6th and the 9th...
To play all the way to the end without saving the game would take to much real time for me.

I know this sounds mean. I don't have an answer for you.....but find it ironic that above your avatar it says your an Electrician's Mate.....with a radio problem.

Sorry in advance...but I just couldn't help it.

That's a good one! Didn't even think about it.

Thank you for having a sense of humor.

All I can say is to go back to the safe save, though others on here may have a solution. Sometimes I just have bad saves that seem to come out of the blue...Just a save bug that cannot be helped. I am playing TMO 2.5 and a recent save made my cursor very slow in the periscope, bridge, and free cam stations...previous saves were no better. Port save no good. I left the game, rebooted, went back in and had the same except for the port save, that worked.

So without much PC knowledge or skill, I just started back at the port save after reboot, rather than trash the whole career.

I've had this happen to me a few times. Try this, which has worked for me:

First, click the "play" button (just because the radio is playing doesn't mean it's "on." This might also explain why you can't change channels).

Next, change channels until you don't hear two at once. Note that if you're using one of my stations divided by years, you need to go to the correct year. In this case, 1945.

Once you're on the channel that's "stuck," you should be able to turn it off, or go to a new one.

One final piece of advice: Turn off the radio before saving a game. I find the problem doesn't occur if you do that.

Thanks for your reply. I tried all buttons to change something but it wouldn't turn off nor change the channel. As I said before, I loaded an earlier save game and when I saved the game and reloaded the same problem would occur again. I even repeated the game without turning the radio on.
I managed to play the game til the end in a long session until I received the message that the war is over. The problem wasn't fixed.
