Default A little grafics problem

Hello everyone, and first of all I hope you're having a great new year!
I downloaded the latest TMO the other week to install it once I get a little free time and today I got round to it. I didn't get to fully test it yet, but it seems to be pretty good!

The only problem is, a couple of problems in the grafics which I noticed straight away that I hoped you helpful people could throw me a bone. Firstly; sometimes in external, bridge or command room view the whole place goes kind of "hazy" like a fog. I'm not sure why because I never noticed this before. Second, when I was bombing out some sampans, the fire still burned where the sails were even though they had got knocked off. I just wondered if anyone else has a similar problem (especially the "Haze" problem; it's really offputting and it hurts my eyes)

Oh yeah and my subsim account language got changed to polish haha. No big deal, I just thought it was funny!

Cheers and thanks for any help!

For number 1. Do you have volumetric fog turned on in the graphics options?

For the fires staying lit after the sails have fallen overboard, I think is a stock bug from the original.

Yep, I'd DEFINITELY say that fog option is what you should look at. I noticed in the most recent TMO that Ducimus added a lot more fog and well, a whole different look for it. It DOES get a little weird to look through, but I imagine its somewhat realistic. Or it makes playing more challenging anyway

Check out that Volumetic Fog option though! Turn it on and off and see what it does for you. ANOTHER one to look at might be Enviromental Effects, although that might remove other eye candy. But hey, whatever your eyes need to be happy

Check your Contrast and the game's Gamma settings. Tweaking one (or both) of those may help.

Let us know how it goes, and if that was the issue.

I just checked my own sub's interior. I have Volumetric Fog enabled (TMO 2.5) and do not have any haziness anywhere inside my sub. What graphics card do you have?

I've had a similar prob, just only on Ext. views like on the bridge or through the periscope, and only during daylight it seems......I thought it was a prob with these graphics settings but nothing fixes/changes it. It occurs kind of randomly after I've been running at high TC?

I switch to control room or conning tower and the washed out view disappears but returns when I go "outside".

I think it's the way he modeled the new fog. I say this because I used Ctrl-N to see if it was a new weather effect and the screen instantly changed to a bright beautiful day.( for those who don't know Ctrl-N changes the weather)

Did you delete all the files in your "My Documents/SHIV/Saved Games" files before starting a new career? You may also have a bad, conflicting or incorrect install of mods. What mods are installed and in what order?

Did a fresh install and only loaded TMO 2.5.

Its really not THAT big of a deal, it comes and goes ....at first I thought it was my machine, but apparently not (or maybe it is ).

Ah! Haze inside the boat? Make sure to turn on the No Smoking lamp! Especially when submerged or the boat will start to look like Clancey's Pool Hall!

I guess my "problem" was just light fog and haze, that's the only time that I see it......(I finally got Cntrl-N to work )

If your playing TMO, there is a weather forecast option on the command bar under 'misc'. It will tell you if there is light, medium, or heavy fog. If you don't want to play with fog, just go into the graphics options anytime during the game and uncheck 'Volumetric Fog'.
