Hi everyone! I'm still kinda new to these series and if i post this thread in the wrong section then help me relocate it!
Ok now straight to the point, i was going around messing in the gap between Britain and Spain then i stopped by a port looking for something like a BB i guess. Then i found a carrier there and after sinking it i got greedy so i saved and reloaded the game for a bit more... um, renown ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So i really hope some modders here can help me or post a mod on how to mod the hull integrity cuz i got no save files prior to that point except for the autosave which is 4 hours away from that. Pls help! PS: my submarine is the VIIC/41 |

Never save when near ships. This is a common bug of the SH series (3-5).
Don't ever save when submerged either. Another common bug of all the SH series (3-5). |

Thanks for the tip mate! But like i said i'm new to these series. Silent hunter 5 is the first game of the series i play. So without any intructions it's kinda hard the first time. I did this reloading-game-in-port many times yet never got myself caught in the middle of a task force this big. Anyways your like a big modder here. Can you help? Please!

The only thing I can think of (and it may/may not work) is to edit your save game files.
Go to \Documents\SH5\data\cfg\SaveGames and there you will find your save games. Now you need to figure out which of the folders there is your save game in question. Once you figure that out open up ActiveUserPlayerUnits.upc with Notepad. Find this section: [UserPlayerUnit 1] ID=VIIC NameDisplayable=Type VIIC U-boat UnitName=U021 UpgradeClass=2 Type=VIIC UnitInterval=1940-07-30 00:00:00, 1945-12-31 00:00:00 ExternalClassName=SSTypeVIIC Nationality=German Evolution=Normal Damage=0.520000 CO2Level=0.000000 TextureName=NULL LightmapTextureName=NULL NormalmapTextureName=NULL MenuSilhouetteTextureName=Typ_9_1.tga MaxOfficers=6 MaxPettyOfficers=32 IsUnderwater=false StartUserPlayerUnitMissionDateTime=1942-09-20 15:00:00 CurrentUserPlayerUnitMissionDateTime=1942-09-20 15:00:00 SilentState=false Change the Damage=x to Damage=0.0 Once again may or may not work. another ting you could try is to change the date so that the taskforce wont spawn.
As TDW says this can be done in your save game. open your save game in you docs folder. – inside you will see a campaign folder. open it and then open the campaignmission.mis with notepad. This is a large file but at the top you will see :- [Mission] IsVisible=true MissionType=0 MissionDataType=0 MultiMissionType=0 IsTutorial=false Year=1942 Month=1 Day=26 Hour=23 Minute=10 CurrentYear=1942***** CurrentMonth=1***** CurrentDay=27***** CurrentHour=2 CurrentMinute=25 GroupMissionStartDelay=0 IconIndex=0 Fog=2 FogRand=2 Clouds=0 CloudsRand=2 Precip=0 PrecipRand=2 WindHeading=0 WindSpeed=5.000000 WindRand=2 WeatherRndInterval=82 SeaType=0 ActivationAchievements= Change these **** to set new date and time |

I'm assuming that Damage=x is referring to the amount of damage your sub has incurred. If it is actually the current state of your sub then you may need to change it to 1.0 instead.
