Default Anyone live near Portsmouth UK?

I'd really appreciate some assistance with some photo's of HMS Victory if possible. Google's search isn't quite giving me what I'm looking for. Basically I need some shots of the fo'castle from the head showing the blue and yellow facing of the forward fo'castle bulkhead. Any shots from around the upper main and gun deck would be good as well.

Just post good sized shots here please.

Thanks in advance.

Not 100% certain but try PMing Oberon (Jamie).

Dunno if these are of any use to you mate, took them in '08 last time I visited. Hoped I had more but these are the only ones that might be vaguely what you're looking for

Only ever been to Portsmouth once Jim, and that was on the way to the Isle of Wight, many many years ago. It's about 150 miles as the crow flies from here.

I could send you pictures of the box of the $350.00 HMS Victory model sitting on my "to do" shelf. I seem reluctant to start it.

Thanks gents and AJR. They are a good start. Any shots of the gratings on the main deck or the upper gun deck?

I'll PM Zirran and see if he can assist.

I have photos somewhere of HMS Victory. If I haven't got what you need I could always wander down to the dockyard with my camera and get some snaps and some film footage. Been meaning to have a proper look round.

I only seem to have 4 photos of HMS Victory.

I hope these can help. If not i'll be near the dockyards on thursday, but the weather is awful at the moment so might not be able to take any pictures.

I happened to pop down to Pompey the other week to have a look round and at the moment Victory is not looking her best! She's currently (or was when I was there) dismasted and with her paintwork, copper and outer hull stripped right down on the bows as they were checking for rot and I think replacing the timbers/masts, so if you want some up to date photos it may not be the best time to go.

I think I remember them saying shed be back to her previous glory by spring though if you can wait that long for your photos??
