HowTo use real navigation and the sextant

Somwhere i found a thread, explaining the real navigation without using the automatic contact entries on the map.
I would like to try to use the speed+clock=> distance method to plot my course. Also i would like to use the sextant.

Can someone give me a link to a tutorial for the sextant in Magnum Opus? (dont know if its MO or OH2 which is containing the sextant).

Also i saw someone using some pimped plotting tools from TDW, which contained a really detailed compass rose for plotting a precise course. Cant find anything in the mod section.

Please help
