Default MUST HAVE D.L.C

Hi Everyone,

I'm running SH3 with the G.W.X expansion and Commander. I have also enabled a few mods that came with G.W.X with the mod enabler tool.

I have just discovered the download section on this website and there is heaps of mods there that I am eager to download.

Can I please get a few suggestions as to which D.L.C you guys think I shouldn't be living without.
I don't want to uninstall G.W.X so could suggestions please be G.W.X compatible.
Hopefully this will save me breaking my current SH3 install by experimenting and also let me find out what I'm missing.

Try taking a look at this thread:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=170090

It's chalk full of in-game screens showing the best GWX mods in action. A great starting point if you're looking to take your SH3 experience to the next level.

Good job Fish! I avoided posting because I wasn't sure how to proceed. Now kicking myself for missing the obvious.

Glad you didn't miss it.

@Maky:

If the download limits here are giving you a sad, you can always look here:

ftp://hartmuthaas.no-ip.org/Volume_2...3COMMUNITYMODS

username: Maik
password: Woelfe

The only trick is that the mods are sorted by the modders' names, but if you can see a mod in the downloads section here then the modder's name will probably also be listed as well and you'll know whose stuff to look for at Maik's archive. Or you can just ask which will have the added bonus of upping your post count.

Some folks have reported that the archive is a bit wonky sometimes, but if you have trouble just wait a bit and then try again. Personally I've never had any real headaches connecting to it and downloading stuff.

Oh and bookmark it and make a note of the username/password - trust me, you'll be glad you did.

You're very welcome.

But don't let that make you scarce around here, now!

Not a chance!

I have taken a liking to this forum. Everyone seems very passionate on U-boats and seeings as though I don't know anyone who shares this interest of mine, where else could I go?

Thanks again!

Good to hear. And I think you will find that the more mods you download, the more questions you will have and therefore all the more reason to keep posting.

Guess I'm a bit unlucky on this one. I can't seem to connect very well. it lets me sometimes and then won't let me at all.
I'm guessing it might be due to multiple people trying to use the same username and password at the same time.

***update***
I have managed to download a few from the site now and along with the 16 I have from SubSim I now have plenty enough to keep me going and testing for a while.

One thing is for sure now, I also need to thank Fish In The Water because I couldn't have found the correct files from the other website posted without the thread you posted.

Cheers
