Default Serial Number brain freeze

G'day all,

I'm sure I'll be saying "why didn't I think of that" but at the moment I'm having a brain freeze.

I got forced into "formatting C", so instead of reloading Win XP SP3, I loaded win 7 ultimate. When the load was completed, to include updated drivers and a new graphics card and drivers along with what I consider a few essential programs, I allowed the system to re boot. Everything was working as advertised, I then proceeded to load SH4 with the updates and Uboat missions. I next loaded JSGME and added several, essential in my opinion, mods.

Now it was time to see how the new graphics card and win 7 worked with SH4, much to my amazement I got the UBSOFT product activation screen looking for my Serial Number. Thought this might be for the U-boat missoin pack but serial was rejected.

So, this is the brain freeze part, I purchased SH4 when it was released in 2007 I believe, and as many times as I've reloaded I've never been asked for the Serial number; I have no idea when the number is located, so could use a wake me up kick please.

Thanks

My original SH4 CD key is on the back of the manual.

Yep. Dug mine out and there it is on the back of the manual. My question is, why is it that the things I need the most are in a storage unit where I can't dig them out, but the things I neither need nor want are in a plastic bag in my living room?

Thanks for the replies. As I throw very few things away I went right to the cabinet with the box, maps and keyboard layout docs, but no manual in sight. After spending and hour looking through zillions of software docs it finally dawned on me the manual might be on the game CD. Yup, there is was, but no CD key on any of the 100 pages. I'm really at a loss now and totally pissed at my ability displace the important docs.

I guess I could avoid the frustration and just buy another copy; there on the net for as low as $8.

I appreciate your efforts.

Thanks
