Default sh3 commander question

Need some help with sh3 commander.

For some reason i cannot start a new career in 1/1/44 or after for that matter. Is this a fault in the commander mod, or have i done something wrong???

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

It might be related to which Flottila you want to start in, and which Uboat type you chose. So, if you can provide that information then we could make a better guess. Oh, and ofcourse which mods you are using!

Exactly how are you not able to start the carreer? Does the game crash when loading it? Does starting SH3 from within SH3 Commander not work? Do you get any error messages? What are the symptoms?

A stated previously, if you could provide some additional information it would really help. In the meantime, welcome aboard!

Hmm. I just followed your exact procedure and it loaded with no problem. I'm trying to figure out what could be wrong, but drawing a blank. I think the most important question may be the one Jim asked: What version of the game are you playing?

Quite possible....reinstall the game and do the same with Commander (in a separate location but on the same drive).

That is a strange problem. I just tried my SH3 Commander install using your settings, and it worked fine for me. While I use GWX 3.0, it shouldn't affect it when setting up a new career in Commander. I also took a quick look through the Commander manual, and didn't see this problem mentioned.

Well gents, i've tried everything, 2 unistalls/reinstalls. New sh3 commander d/l's, still no luck. not sure what is going on, but i got it solved, i'll just start in dec 43, and add on number of days needed in commander.

thanks for all the help, see you soon.

One more suggestion: Did you perfom a registy clean before installing again?
Did you erase the files from /My Documents/Personel files? Uninstalling Commander will not delete those.
Good luck!

In Commander you can not start a new career after December 1943.

I'm afraid you can...I have often created new careers in 44 and 45 to test out new mods.
