I got a SH5 DRM question

I read that u can play without Internet now. Do u need Internet to start the game or install it?

I'd imagine so to install at least, but make sure you've got the savegame sync disabled.

Someone on the Ubi forums claims that you don't need to set it to offline mode, that it'll time out and turn to offline automatically.

I've been too busy playing to test that, but I'm 100% sure you need to connect the FIRST time at least just so that the launcher updates to know offline mode is a possibility and for your account info to cache.

The full-time online requirement was dropped one year ago. At that point you still had to be online to start the game. Now you don't have to be online at all to play. You do have to register the game online, which is a one-time-only deal. You also do have to go through the annoying launcher screen every time you load it up, but you get that even with the internet unplugged.

I will definetly buy sh5. I had always wanted to walk around my sub in sh2. And now, with sh5, it's possible.
