Default RAOFB and Standimeter - what am I doing wrong?

So I'm trying to use the RAOFB wheel tonight and I'm getting all sorts of crazy not matching up information. Hopefully someone can show me where I'm going wrong...

Even if I set it to 4.8 it's only a 100m difference, not the 1000m different I'm getting from the standimeter vs the wheel.

If I try the different standimeter height listed in the other SOAN I found earlier I get an even stranger range reading:

And if I try to make the standimeter match the RFAOB wheel, this happens:

Not even on the ship!

So... where am I going wrong here please?

The test thing you linked to is gone now.

I've watched all the tutorials and followed them step by step and that's when I noticed my values were all off.

Does the RAOBF only work with 1280x960 resolution? Because I haven't used such an ancient resolution since the 90s. 4:3 is dead, long live 16:9!

It is within TDC helper and is called "AOB Range Finder"
Install with JSGME
Use the Automation page button to select it under tutoriaals

With Either TDWs UI or MO there is a folder called "Scopes Open and read"
In here are the mods to set your camera to the correct size and the reticules to match

Ah ha! I'd read that folder, but when I saw the mod defaulted to Manos, I didn't check any further.

Thanks. Just ran through your wonderful in game tutorial, and while the ship in the example (at 221) wasn't there, I was able to get accurate readings on another ship.

Thanks!
