Guys seriously...

I've been playing silent hunter for 6 hours I guess and i'm still an Type IIA
Where can I buy a new submarine.
Have been looking EVERYWHERE and i'm getting pissed off.

I think if you go to Wilhelmshafen you get a VIIB and a bit later the IXB

I was in Wilhemshafen but my base is Kiel. So limited options.

Kiel has only IIB ,IIC and IID and MUCH later VII U-Boats
Wilhelmshafen starts with VIIB then IXB and then VII C

Best bet is to download SH3 commander and GWX, then you can change what year/base you start at as well as the U-boat you have. Otherwise the only way to "buy" a new U-boat is to save up renown.

I was thinking of installing XXI start in 1939 but I'm afraid of how much chaos I could cause. And I do love my deck gun.

Or edit basic.cfg so that the renown required for all subs is zero.
