Default Fisherman lands 305kg tuna

Wow! 305kg Bluefin tuna that's $80,000 if sold to the Japanese market. A Bluefin tuna weighing in at 342kg was sold for a record US$396,000 on the Japanese market.

I'm off rock fishing this weekend gonna catch me some snapper! But I will be eating my catch

dont know if the video will play to outsiders, shes a big fish.

Sounds fun. I really want to go tuna or halibut fishing, but it's a bit spendy.

Oh I don't know....you'll probably get cheap rates because you'll end up in the net bag and be used for chum/bait

I got seasick the last time I went out, fortunately I caught most of my fish already. The tuna fishing, you go out to sea for about 12 hrs, so getting sick is not an option.

I bet you don't get anywhere near as sick as the fish you catch

Way back in grammar school, there used to be a multi-industry educational/promotional program called the "ABC's of Industry". Several different companies in several different fields would send materials and films out to the schools to show how products and services got to market. Student either got to pick or were assigned companies to do projects on and write reports as a part of a loose competition. One year, I picked Starkist Tuna as the company on which I would base my project. I remember a film showing how tuna was caught at the time (late 50s/early 60s). I found this on you tube and it reminded me of those old films:

The ability of the fishermen to just haul aboard and fling those large fish behind them, re-bait the hooks and fish again was and is amazing...
