Default Seeking 2 Mods.

Mod 1 was a mod to the SH3/GWX binoculars which showed a compass heading in the top of the binoculars. The one I have, "Bino_Compass_Mod.7z", is not the one I was looking for as it's showing "N", "NNE", etc. The one I'm looking for shows degrees from boat heading (boat heading being 000).

Mod 2 is a map mod which adds a map bearing overlay tool to 3,000 meters, instead of the GWX default 1500 meters. The one I have, SH3_Bearing_Overlay_3.0.7z, locks up SH3/GWX due to a "kernel.dll" error. Once the TGA's provided are removed...the "Kernel.dll" error goes away. Anyone have a working 3,000 meter overlay?

TIA, as always, gang.

Vic

Compass: You can do it yourself. Open up SH3/Data/Menu and follow this old post from Danlisa.

BTW for those who want the original bearing marks back, open your menu.ini and find the binos block, you'll see that the tga being used is bearing2.tga (IIRC), change it back to bearing.tga (IIRC) and the game will use the original file I left in there. Must have been clarvioant that day.

As for the 3000-meter tool, I found a whole bunch of them for SH4, but none of the SH3 ones.

Thank you, sir. That corrected the binocular bearings to the way I like them.
