Trying via my cd to install AOD on Vista 64 bit. Won't go though; get a "you need a 64 bit version of this file to run it"
Any idea if it's possible to install AOD on this os ?

AOD is a DOS program. You are going to need a program called DOSBox to run it.

Yeah, I know about dosbox to RUN it, thanks. I can't even get it to install though......or can dosbox be used to install it too ?

You have to use DOSBox to install it. And you have to use DOSBox to run it.

Feel free to ask further questions. Setting AOD up can be a bit confusing the first time around.
You need to install the expansion pack and the patch as well. I usually mount the expansion pack files as a floppy on drive A and run it. And then I install the patch from my C drive. Both drives A and C are virtual DOSBox drives. And make sure to install the expansion and then the patch. The patch is the last thing you install. |
