Default Did I do a bad thing?

Ahoy! I've just got the U Boat missions pack and have installed Opperation Monsun. I'm in a type II on my way to Scapa Flow with 3 Torps and 2 mines. I've just put two eels into a 9000 ton Swedish merchant, the date is 4th September. Ship is sunk with "Enemy unit destroyed", displayed. Are my actions morally reprehensible? Also is there a mod to change the voices to German..Viel Gluck alles.

I'm pretty sure that OM makes all ships enemies; there are no neutrals. Also there is no chart that shows who sides with whom when, so it's really okay. One of the many things that needs fixing.

As for German voices, if you want stock SH3-style voices try this mod:

And if you want the voices and sounds from Das Boot, go here:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1083

And a little add-on that goes with DBSM:

Not true, I've gotten chewed out for sinking a few friendly ships. I once (freak thing) came across a German merchant.

Take your time and move in closer. If it's night and you STILL can't see their flag, back off until it's lighter and slowly move in at 1 knt Silent Running.

There's plenty of mods that can fix this so you can get in closer to idenify ship.

To me, the whole idea of the Sim it the Tension and Adrenaline Rush.

But that's me. Unlike some, I have all the time in the World to play a mission.

And iirc don't Save Under Water. It could cause CTD. Save just before you dive to play it safe.

there is a mod called "Enemies of Germany" that lists the enemies and dates that they were at war with Germany. It shows up at the top of the help manual which you activate with the F1 key.

Perhaps I expressed myself poorly when I said all ships were enemies. Of course there are friendlies. My point was that there are no neutrals in OM.

Yep but in this case you sunk a friendly. And one of the few who evaded allied blockade, too. Way to go, sport!

The title to this thread reminds me of a question to Dear Abby.
