Default Torpeodo is a dud Sir!

Does anyone else get alot of duds with the Mark 23. SH v1.4/TMO Overhauled.

Whens the date? A lot of duds before mid 42(historically late September early October) as per history.Mark 23 was same torpedo as Mark 14 minus the low speed setting for long range shots so would have the same fault detonator, although I never read about them being in service when the dud issues were going on, its possible.Personally I just stick with Mark 14 and occasionally use Mark 23 in late 43 and into 44 when the 23 saw service before Japan really started having tight escort screens and long range shots with Mark 14 became somewhat common place.Running RSRD, most convoys follow history.

My blunt answer would be, everybody gets a lot of duds all the time all through the war. Sure, their effectiveness increases a bit over the years, but you can still have patrols in 1944 where you get all but one or two duds.
