Default SH5 not working with Microsoft update?

Hi all,

trying to find out about the error message "missing terrain mission.dll" I read somewhere that the Microsoft update for Win7 on 6/14/2011 makes some changes that are not compatible with Sh5, meaning it´s more likely to crash and - I don´t know if that is true! - a new installation won´t work after the update. Can anyone confirm?

Cheers, AS

Can't confirm but I haven't bothered to update windows 7 since installing it, I turned off updates permanently. That was months ago.
Running SH5 on windows 7 fine (no service pack 1 either). I wouldn't be all that surprise though if a 7 update has mess up your sh5 install.

Confirm. Automatic windows update is on, all the latest updates installed, no problems with the game.

I wish it was only occasional, I get CTD once an hour or so. Drives me mad!

Windows 7 64 with updates, cannot update video drivers too soon as the game then doesn't run.
