Need Help With JANUS error on Silent Hunter 2

Im getting a Error when I try to play second mission "English Coast" in campain mode. I press play, It will start loading then it goes to a JANUS.ERR screen... The error is:
Direct x code : "Unrecognized Error : oxffffffff"
F:\Devel\Janus2\wwII\sources\wwIIsworld.cpp
Line 1238

Any Help would be greatly apprieciated.. Thanks

WELCOME ABOARD!

It's been so long since I've played SH2 I remember the dreaded Janus Errors, but I don't remember what any of them are. We still have some of the old experts floating around. Hopefully one of them will turn up.

Stock game, patched to 1.1, any mods?

i new in this game and i got the same problem..
even when first time i try to play..
install the new patch solve those problem..

God i havent play sh2 for ages, but my experience with the infamous janus error was my video card and then when i fix that, was some of the mods i install, try the patch 1.1 i think and the project meser what ever is call, sorry for that and try to update the comp. i think there was a patch for that janus error look it up in the sh2 download data base here at subsim.
