A couple of beginners questions for a newbie to SH5

First, I know there is a mod by TheDarkWraith that allows you to move around the sub much more efficiently than the original game permits you to move around. Which Mod is this and where can I find it?

Second, some of the posts I’ve read refer to Patch v1.2, but I do not see this patch listed in the downloads under patches. Does this patch automatically load when you sign onto the game over the internet? Is there a place I can download this patch to ensure I have it in the future? And how can I tell if the game has been patched to v1.2?
