I have been practicing the four bearing method using the sonar guy's bearings and when it comes to computing the targets true course and setting up for an attack, i'm finding that i'm consistently about 2-3 km out of position.
Am i doing it wrong? or is the bearing being reported by the sonar guy slightly wrong? As I said the targets heading in my computed course but i'm consistently 2000-3000m away from my computed position. I noticed in stoianm's tutorial about the 4 bearing method that he mentions something about the sonar guy reporting the wrong bearing unless.....and that's where he lost me. He seemed to be using a keyboard shortcut....does the sonar guy report the wrong bearing unless using the shortcut? and if so, why isn't it mentioned anywhere else i've seen? |
