The Grand Recommend a Mod - Challenge 2000!

Hi!

I'm searching for mods that introduce more atmosphere and immersion by bringing the world out there bit closer to player. I'm after mods attempting to remind player of how a war of terrifying scale and proportions is being fought from Moscow to Cairo as he sails about in his tiny little boat. Mods that bring more life to my virtual life. Unsure if I managed to express my desires in sane enough fashion. Some practical examples of mods that I enjoy follow! If you can think of any that come close but are not listed, please let me know!

I add brief descriptions to my listing later on, thusly potentially making this thread vaguely usefull to some fellow newbie else as well!

SH3 Commander.
Not only a cosy tool for editing patrol destinations and various ingame options, but also adds to atmosphere by giving player a face, more detailed patrol logs and a passport to boot. Small things like this can really count towards creating an atmosphere and additional immersion!

Nightclub for SH3Commander
Adds images and music from Das Boot to SH3 Commander. Small bits of dialogue as well. It is always nice to have a sense of intermission between patrols.

War Radio
Adds gramophone tracks pretending to be radio broadcasts. Uses authentic WWII-era news broadcasts. Brilliant mod. Being able to listen..say, Chrurchill's speeches or misc war propaganda might not be the most realistic thing you can do in U-boat but at least for me, it adds TONS of immersion and atmosphere. Places me in correct time and place so to speak.
Description from Subsim's mod section;
"It adds a radio file to be played via the gramophone for each month of the war, and allows the player to find and play the radio file even if he has a large number of music files in the folder. It is activated in the game by way of SH3 Commander. This mod is in the OGG format and should play in all installs of SHIII. If the volume is too low, the MP3 mod should be used.

From subsim's description;
"The mod contains 351 radio messages that describe historical events and give quotes. They will be received by your U-boat as radio intercepts from Lehmann International News."

....Oops, this turned somewhat longer a post than I planned. If you ended up reading through it all for some reason, you have pretty good idea of what kind of mods I'm after, surely! Any and all recommendations are very welcome.
