Sub Command CTD on exit
I'm currently playing a scenario by Bill Nichols called Chinese Takeout in SC/SCXIIc. Anyway after playing for a couple of hours, I saved my progress and quit SC with no problem. I have since played again reloading my save and carried on. I have saved a second time overwriting the previous save, but within a few seconds of the mission de-briefing screen appearing I get a message saying that SC has encountered a problem and needs to close. The save in question reloads fine, which is good as I haven't lost my progress, but if I exit the same problem occurs. I have tested other scenarios and made saves and they all exit fine and SC closes normally. So I have concluded its a dodgy save game file causing the problem not the scenario itself. Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem?

Well despite the CTD on exit I managed to complete the scenario. I snuck in behind the Xia and maintained a distance of about 500 yards. Once I received the orders to sink the Xia I fired a torpedo set to go active after a run of 200 yards. Then bam that was the end for the Xia (see screenshots). I managed to evade the Chinese ASW efforts to successfully complete the mission.
The CTD issue seems to have disappeared once I had saved the completed mission and reloaded it, so it must have been a save game issue causing the problem in the first place. Nemo ![]() ![]()
