Default social engineering getting more and more popular?

Stories like this I find simply disturbing.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110626/...r_neutral_tots

This is social engineering at its finest.

"Nearly all the children's books deal with homosexual couples, single parents or adopted children. There are no "Snow White," "Cinderella" or other classic fairy tales seen as cementing stereotypes."

Isn't that cementing other more liberal stereotypes?

This is an example, which has been ongoing in Sweden, (in time) and are no general rules, I would say it is starting, anchored to the immigration policy, and integration, and is in an experimental stage and not the law,of government Constitution, and that the outcome is uncertain at present.

I find it very...don't know....repulsive...strange....idiotic
I have daughter (a ginger one lol) i always tell her that she can become whatever she wants or do whatever she feels to do.
She should achieve all this as a women not some genderless creature.
She is woman with her advantages and no need for her to prove otherwise.

Its some insecure feminism gone wild.

I have no problem with teaching children at an early age (as long as they understand; if they have no concept of different sexes, than this is probably worthless, but I'll wait for Sky to confirm this) about difference and tolerance and working together. But this...this is just another bias. "Righteous" bias, considering that they are a "minority" (I very much hate this term), yet bias nevertheless. This won't broaden the mind of children, this will limit them even more. No need to tell them about prince Charming or the gallant warrior (which most fairly and folk tales are based on, in different variations of course), just make sure they understand that "different" is allright, even though the children, again, have no conception of it.

Frankly, I want this kindergarden to continue its work. If not for anything else, I wish to see how these kids will react when they reach puberty, where everything is about gender differences. I wonder how gender neutral their hormone riddled mind will work then.

Yes, but you've been telling her she's a daughter, with all of society's stereotypes of that. That will limit her choices on a psychological level. Free will after a lot of indoctrination (accidental or otherwise) is not really free.

I think the worst objection most would have is that Snow White stuff, but if we are to make a good go of such attempts, we will have to do that. They will have plenty of opportunities to meet Snow White after school anyway, so concentrating on other things within the school seems like the right balancer.

There's nothing like screwing up a Kid's mind, while they're young enough to "just" absorb it, without question.
Bring back the REAL woman.
The one who could handle the toughest, and most important job in the world - Mother!
Bring back the REAL man to support and defend her, and their kids.

From the article:

Director Lotta Rajalin notes that Egalia places a special emphasis on fostering an environment tolerant of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. From a bookcase, she pulls out a story about two male giraffes who are sad to be childless — until they come across an abandoned crocodile egg.
There is no justice in this world unless the baby crocodile grows up to eat Dad and Dad...

Silly giraffes. They should have adopted a gimpy emu instead.

Edit - On the topic at hand:

I would be worried if it were a number of schools performing that sort of brainwashing. This article seems to focus on one school in particular. Let's wait and see if the kids' eyes start glowing in the next ten years. If so then we shall have to nuke them... or simply find a suitable military purpose for them.

Dude if it wasn't for ABBA I wouldn't even known that Sweden existed. Funny that, my sisters loved ABBA when I was a kid I remember them playing their songs every day. I hated ABBA I thought their music was too girly like. But now I like to blast a Abba song every now and then and its my sisters who think I'm the weirdo when I do it. I wish they would do a world tour I would go see them.
