Growing a beard & a mustache...

Sometihing I have just been wondering for about some time.

Is it true that you crew, after being at sea for some time, would grow a beard and mustache?

It's either that or that I have not noticed that they had a mustache or beard from the start.

And even if they had a small beard and mustache from the start, does it get thicker?

lol the crews in game dont grow hair, youd have to get a mod to reskin them to do that, but they cant 'grow'.
