I'm almost desperate!!

Hi folks!
I'm getting sick and tired of SH5! What do I have to do to play this game longer than 2 minutes before it crashes to my desktop?
The strange part is that is has not always been this bad. In the campaign Total germany I had a few CTD's, but it was playable (after a long period of installing and unistalling mods). But now in silentotto Happy Times the game is a disaster!
Is it my modslist?

Is there anybody who can tell me what I'm doing wrong orderwise?
Maybe I should go back to SH4.....

No seriously it was and is a great makeover but it might be hard to go back to after the screens I've seen of SH5. Nevertheless there are some very bright people and great modders on the case so I am sure they will help you out.

I will tell you you got a mod soup there and it does not surprise me it crashed. Supermods are better as the modders try there best to test everything before uploading it. I think you will have to do some testing, mod by mod-

No matter what game you play, the more mods you add the bigger risk you take of something going wrong. I'm sure someone will be along who can take one look at your list and have a good idea of what's causing the problem.

I just gave this advice to someone else, and whether it's SH3, SH4, SH5 or anything else it's something to consider. Add one mod at a time and see what happens. It takes time, it requires patience, and it's foolproof. Sooner or later you'll figure it out, and then you won't be trusting someone else, you'll know why your game crashes.

There's one other thing to consider though. What are your system specs? It may not be any one mod causing your problem; it may just be too much for your rig. I still play a lot of SH3, and I can't run certain mods because it's just too much for the old girl to handle. You may need more RAM, you may need a new Graphics Card, or you may need a bigger Power Supply.

So tell us what you have, and someone will be able to tell you what you need.

But as Sailor Steve said. The best thing to do is add mods one at a time and test.

Your system specs will need to be good especially if your using Dynamic Environment. As Dynamic Environment adds alot of high res graphics. e.g sea plants and seabed.

I was too frustrated when I posted my thread. I shouldn't have done that.
I'm relaxed now and thank you for your answers and ideas.

I've seen longer lists and the owners claim it works fine. I think that is not the problem.

I'll change the order in what you suggested. Makes sense.

the fix you suggest concerns a fix with eneny subs. In my situation that's not the case. (I think...)

@ all:
I uninstall the mods (or at least the most of them) and install them one by one with a test after each installed mod.

If you use silentotto, when you accept the first mission you may find yourself instantly teleported on sub. If so, dock/end patrol and ask for a new mission and make sure this time you will get a loading screen.. otherwise odd things can occur, including countless ctd's.
