Default Have lost patience with Sony

Well i'm at the end of my patience with Sony. They keep saying that the PSN network will be up in a few more days, but it is now 3 weeks. I am giving them until friday and then I am going to probably trade in my PS3 for an Xbox. I am really starting to miss Bad Company 2. 1 week sucked, 2 was pushing it, but 3 weeks and i have had it. plus the company is saying that all services wont be back online till the 31st. Sony you suck ball's

I wouldn't trade in my PS3 just because PSN is down. I'm happy to wait for a secure gaming service to be back online rather than one that can be taken down seemingly at will by a bunch of hackers with nothing better to do with their time.

Indeed. Also... Well, if a hacker wants to get into a system, they will get in. There's no such thing as 100% secure, it just takes some time and dedication.

Perhaps Sony's security was lacking, and yes, it is their responsibility to keep that data safe. But even so, blame falls on the hackers for breaking in there.

Seeing a lot of hate directed at Sony while the people that actually commited the crime seem largely ignored.

IT is not that PSN is down. It's that Sony seems incompetent and their public relations on the matter are abysmal.

I back up Arclight on everything he said, with one tiny little arguement. Sony has not been very informative AT ALL. I think it is Sony's fault that they are getting so much of the blame because their PR department is about as responsive as UBI when it comes to Silent Hunter.

I mean ok.. we don't know who took down PSN, fair enough. We don't know when PSN will be secure enough to bring back online...hmm ok that seems vague but I suppose better safe then sorry. You will get free stuff when PSN comes back up one free month of premium for the fact we lost all your secure information... hmm.. the risk to reward there seems off balance but I can't expect you to go out on a limb for me I put my info out there to be stolen.

So yeah Sony isn't really to blame for being all evil and terrible. BUT they could have had PR put a spin on all this and really treated their customers better to save alot more face then they have.

What you forget is the fact that Sony is a Japanese company, sure the American/European PR departments could have been more informative, but I doubt they can comment on the situation without clearing information through the heads of the company. I'm pretty sure the heads are still busy with whatever is going on in Japan. While yes they could have given us more information , I don't blame them for anything. But then again I lost my CC(found it about two weeks after I got the new one ) shortly before the information was stolen so I was never concerned about that part. Sure it's been an inconvience, but the fact that they are giving us free stuff to make up for it, along with the fact that the service is free to begin with, and that the company was busy working during Golden Week, I can't say I'm really upset with them. Atleast not to the point of selling my PS3, but then again I'm not a heavy online player so the only thing I'm missing is the Store(got a $20 PSN card as a gift recently), and the trophies.

I was kind of hoping some teddies would be thrown from prams, looking to pick up a cheap(ish) slim to replace my fat but people are obviously more patient than I thought!

Sony needs to take a long hard look at Toyota's handling of bad PR events, hackers need their index fingers chopping off.

Hackers get their brains fried in the ghost in the shell series. I think that's a fair punishment.

But if they had their brains fried we would have no neuromancer.

After thinking long and hard, I believe I will save up a little and get a new PC. Since Battlefield 3 will be coming out later this year, I want to spend the extra coin and get a rig that will run 3 on pretty high settings. I also look forward to finally getting windows 7. On a side note, now I can't even watch netflix on my PS3. My rage at Sony is reaching the threshold.

Since when? I was able to watch Netflix up until my Internet died.

What's it say? Are you sure it's Sony's fault and not netflix's?
