I can get aesthetic mods to work, ie: Real German Flags, sky and weather textures, smoke mods, bubble mods, etc....
But I cannot for the life of me- change the UI! I tried running several different UI mods and nothing changes from stock. I want the crew clickables for order giving at the bottom middle of the screen like in SH4. I want the gauges like in SH4. And for some reason I have no ability to get depth under keel. That I am able to mod aesthetics, I know that jsgme is working correctly and my folders are correct. But no UI mods will work. I tried patching 1.2 and when I run it it says it will not work on my version. So I'm assuming I'm already patched. Any help on this? I tried searching for the past two days, but so far no one has had this same problem that I could find. Thanks in advance! |

Welcome to subsim Fenway72
![]() No "depth under keel" is a sign that patch 1.2 is not installed. When you load the game the version (patch) number will show in the top left corner of the main menu. Check that is 1.2 If not run the updater from the support file. Also check that the mods that are not working are unpacked correctly. To do this look inside the folder and there must be a "data" folder. |

I could not find a support file when last I looked. What folder is it it? I was looking in the main SH5 folder and didn't see it.
And the data folder should be in what folder exactly? I have a MODS folder in my SH5 directory, inside that folder are a folder for each mod. And each of these mods show up in jsgme. Thanks for the responses. I'm wondering now if the UI mods aren't working because I may not be patched correctly. Will check this when I get home. |

To update.... You can right click the icon in your games folder. Click start, Click games, and right click Silent Hunter 5. Click check for updates. Or you can use the Game Updater located in the Silent Hunter folder. On my system it is D:\Games\Simulator\SilentHunter5\Support\Gameupdat er. As for UI mods not working.... Go to your mods folder inside the silent hunter directory and open the UI mod folder and see what folders you have inside. Is it a mods folder or a data folder? It should be a data folder. On my system.... D:\Games\Simulator\SilentHunter5\MODS\NewUIs_TDC_6 _5_0_ByTheDarkWraith\ (And in side is a data folder, not a mods folder)

You should not have a Mods folder inside your mods folder. The quickest and easiest way to fix this is... 1. Drag the NewUIs mod from your shilent hunter5\mods\ folder to your desktop. 2. Open the new ui's (the one that you just dragged to your desktop) folder. And inside should be 3 folders... Dials MODS Text 3. Open the MODS folder and inside should be 27 folders. 4. Pick NewUIs_TDC_6_5_0_byTheDarkWraith and any other of the 26 mods in this folder, drag it\them to SilentHunter5\Mods folder. Hope this helps. Good Hunting. ![]()

interesting, as when the GUI starts I clicked c\heck for updates and it said it was up to date at 1.15. I seen that there is a separate GU and ran it and it DL the update. even went as far as checking UBI and they only had 1.15
