Default Is this worth is

Hey guys
I'm sure this has been asked before (and I don't want to start some sort of arguement again) but, I'm thinking of purchasing shV. Is the game worth the buy. I've owned every (literally) single Silent Hunter since the first one came out way back in the day. I liked them all (even the first one). So I'd like your guys honest opinion on this one.

Yes, it is definitely worth it ... after you have added a few excellent mods by various modders here.

Enjoy!

I had similar feeling to you as to whether or not it was worth getting SH5, and i have to say it was well worth getting for me.

I got the game about 3 weeks ago and have played it every chance i get, the internet connection really isn't that big of a deal as some make it out to be. And as stated by dog_33 with some mods installed it's a brilliant and fun simulation with some great features.

I havent bought it yet for the simple fact most guys that finally get it running right have to run 40 or 50 mods... to me thats just insane.. my sh4 runs like 6 or 7 mods.... Im just gonna hold out and hope after this disaster ubi will decide to make a new sh6 and hope they learned their lesson.

But have to admit that price does look attractive, funny, but attractive.

Everybody's different, you may or may not like the game but only you can decide whether or not it's worth it. At the given price above I'd say it's worth giving it a go.

But don't forget to add your desired mods!

On the other hand no game should ever need any mods to make it run right. Mods should add to the game, not be necessary to fix it. This was true of SH4 and SH3 as well as SH5.

Don't bother. They've learned their lesson, and they won't be making any more sub sims.

Yes it does. Despite anything negative I may say I'll be buying it one of these days.

"One of these days" being my polite way of not referring to "It".

When I buy is still up to Ubi.

Magnum Opus (Mega MOD). Compiled by Thedarkwraith using many of the more popular mods made by others
NewUI's by thedarkwraith (User Interface overhaul)
IRAI by the darkwraith (Intelligent Random AI)
FX_Update By the darkwraith (effects overhaul)
Dynamic Environment by stoianm (Environment overhaul)

Are IMO, the must have mods.
