It certainly was. I just finished the game "Dead Space".
The game is supposed to be Horror/suspense/action/ 3rd-person shooter. There may only be a few times after a certain point in the game when it actually gives you a jump (if you knew what to expect when getting this game), But by the end of this game, even MORE so with its even scarier Sequel Dead Space 2, youll realize that graphics and more advanced programming has taken AvP2's Suspense and thrill factor and put it on high intensity steroids, leaving you with this game. Im not going to go into detail, as itll somewhat spoil the horror of first time gameplay. But i will tell you that there is ALOT to be done in the game, boasting 12 chapters of constant alert and near-paranoia level type of gameplay. They come from the walls, vents, hide around corners and quite often get the jump on you with flanking maneuvers. so it keeps you on your toes. It is pretty graphic. If youve ever seen the movie "Pandorum", its follows roughly the same base storyline but amplifying the disturbing aspect tenfold. Its not a bad game actually. i dont think some of the older subsimmers might find it to their liking, but for those who enjoy a good old suspense game, i would definitely recommend it and its sequel, Dead Space 2 which only just came out. For those who still remember AvP 2, and the suspense it kept you in when playing as a marine, i think you might like it if your willing to step it up a notch. ![]()
