Default No position mark on Real Navigation

Hi guys, just trying out the Real Navigation and have followed the installation instructions. After enabling the mod in JSGME and starting SH5 I ask the nav officer for a fix but no position mark appears on my map. I am using New UIs and Real Nav by DarkWraith. Any ideas?

The marks apear only in Nav map... i think you speak here about the Tai map... if you want to have displayed something like a mark in tai map ... go in the option.py and increase the time that the uboat simbol is dysplayed on map after a reported fix by navigator

If the nav map is the wheel symbol on the right side then that is the map I mean. I have tried zooming in and out but nothing.

You asked the navigator to report a fix from dead reckoign point?... can you enter in game... ask the navigator to make a fix... make a screen shoot with the message box where i can see that the navigator reported the lat and lond for the fix that he made.... go in the nav map... and make a screenshoot with the nav map without the mark on it.... if you are able to do that means that you did all how is supouse to and we will try to find the problem maybe in your mod soup... but i am guesing tha maybe you are doing something wrong.... if you have time watch this video tutorial:

Thanks Stoianm, I have watched your video (most of them in fact and very informative too) and I am doing exactly as you did. I ask the nav to make a dead reckoning fix which is reported in the message box but no position (lat / long) appears in the box. Not sure how to do a screenshot but will check it out. How do I copy and paste my mods list from JSGME?

Open the JGSME.... go in the Tasks... go in the ''Export activated mods list''... go in the ''Clipboard''... after that right click here and paste

I did the MO patch 2 directly by cut and paste before installation as per the Stoianm video. Maybe real nav is not for me, thanks for the help anyway guys.

BTW, where do I find my screenshots? Sorry for the stupid questions...

When you are in game you must to press ctrl+f11... your screenshoots will be saved as bmp files in the follow path:

C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5

Maybe you are confused now a bit... play a game for a while and try again Real Navigation... is a must have mod in my opinion and change the game in a very big proportion... and is very easy to use - like it was to past the mod list

EDIT: And rename you MO like MO (patched2)... this way when you post your mod soup we will know that you installed the MO in the right way

Yes, would love to try Real Nav for the immersion, sims must be 100% real for me. Thanks for all your help guys and will try it again soon

EDIT: @ Stoianm; I have just watched your Real Nav video again and when you requested a dead reckoning fix the lat & long appeared in your message box. This doesn't happen for me. Does this help?

There is something wrong with your installation then. In order to try and figure out what I need you to do the following:

- edit your \Documents\sh5\data\cfg\main.cfg and make the following section look exactly like below:

[DEVELOPING]
Modding=Yes
MenuEditor=No
DebugScripts=Yes

Save the file.
Before starting the game run the DbgView application found in my UIs mod \data\Applications folder.

These two things will help 'see' where the problem is. If any popups appear then I need screenshots of what they say.
Try getting a fix from navigator (dead-reckoning) and after 30 mins game time if one doesn't appear then send me the output of the DbgView application along with the ship's journal along with any screenshots of any popups that appear in game.
